I am the nicest Mean Girl.
I am the first to admit that I can quote almost every line from Mean Girls and I am not ashamed.
This past semester I had the honor of staring as Karen in friend’s video project in preparation for the tenth anniversary next Wednesday. He may be more obsessed with Mean Girls than anyone I know. I, of course, embraced the role to its fullest. My IQ may have dropped a wee bit; although my sister could argue it has always been that low, but I digress I was born for the role.
I give some credit to genetics and my natural blonde hair, but mostly I give credit to the fact that half the time I don’t have to act like Karen, it just comes naturally. (No, I cannot stick my whole fist in my mouth.)
Karen is innocent (well halfway) and gullible. She follows the rules and while it may seem like it is taking a long while for something to click in her head to make it all make sense, I hold on to a tiny ray of hope that she is just weighing her options.
Making the PSA with Bi Nguyen and Gretchen Wieners (oops Brittney Allred) was an absolute honor. I was able to let all my inner Karen out with just a few lines. What it boils down to is that I love to entertain others, even if it is at my own expense.
So put on your pink because it is Wednesday and on Wednesday’s we wear pink.
Oh and watch this PSA loser, we’re going shopping.
Oh and I’m still trying to do this thing where I branch out everyone’s music taste with a random song I recently listened to. Warning: Some may become addicting and I am not responsible for songs being played on repeat on end.
Song I was listening to while I wrote this: What I Can’t Put Down by Jon Pardi.
Credit goes to my little brother Frank for showing me this song that I cannot take off of repeat.
